The formal consultation period on the Cleadon , Cleadon Hills Conservation Area Management Plan ended on 22nd December 2008.

South Tyneside Council is asking the Borough's residents for their views on how the historic areas of Cleadon, Cleadon Hills, East Boldon and Hebburn Hall should be preserved for future generations.
Any comments will be fed into the Conservation Area Management Plans, which in turn will become part of the Local Development Framework, the blueprint for future development in the Borough.
The key aims of the management plans are to raise awareness of the importance and value of the local heritage and set out policies and actions to preserve and enhance the buildings, streets, landscape and open spaces within the character areas.
